COPTON starts a 5-million-kilometre road test
25 vehicles will drive on COPTON products across China for three years.
On 19 November 2025 a three-year road test started at COPTON's Huangdao industrial park. 25 new vehicles will cover a total of 5 million kilometres — about 125 times around the equator.
Routes cover every typical condition: from the snowy north to the hot and humid south, from western highlands to the eastern coast. The vehicles run around the clock at full load using only COPTON products — engine and transmission oil, axle oil and antifreeze.
Oil samples are taken regularly and analysed by COPTON's laboratory and the lab of an additive partner. After the test, two vehicles will be torn down to assess wear of the engine and other units.
