COPTON becomes lubricant supplier for the Jiaolong submersible
COPTON lubricants will serve one of the world's best-known deep-sea vehicles.
The Jiaolong manned submersible is a flagship of Chinese science: a record 7,062-metre dive for vehicles of its class, hundreds of missions across the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic oceans, and in 2025 the first dive under Arctic ice.
COPTON is now the official lubricant supplier for the vehicle. At depth, lubricants face enormous water pressure, sharp temperature swings, high humidity and a corrosive environment — crew safety depends directly on reliable lubrication.
The partnership continues a long history: since 2014 COPTON oils and antifreeze have supported China's polar expeditions, including the Xuelong icebreaker.
